Seit inzwischen zwei Jahrzehnten breitet sich die Asiatische Hornisse Vespa velutina nigrithorax, die man wegen ihrer markanten gelben Füße auch „Asiatische Gelbfuß-Hornisse“ nennt, in Europa aus. Die Ausbreitung begann mit einer einzigen Hornissenkönigin, die zunächst unbemerkt 2004 ihren Weg von China nach Frankreich mit chinesischer Handelsware fand. Zehn Jahre später erfolgte dann ihr Erstnachweis in Baden-Württemberg und Rheinland-Pfalz. Die Ausbreitung in Deutschland dauert inzwischen auch schon zehn Jahre an….
